When will SmartWords insert links?

The conditions that have to be met before a link will be placed are:

  • A maximum of 1 link per sentence wil be placed

  • A maximum of 2 link per paragraph wil be placed

  • Sentences that already contain a link will not receive a SmartWord

  • Links are only placed within paragraph(<p>) which in turn is in an <article> tag, this is to make sure SmartWords are only inserted into actual content

  • Links are not added on images, bold text, italic text or other text that has an HTML entity around it such as H1 and H2

  • Content can be excluded for SmartWord insertion by adding class="pzz-ignore" to the containing element.
